Memorial Day Weekend

So I took the boys and JJ's friend Ben to my mom and dads for the holiday weekend. We had so much fun. The boys were outside for most of the time and for a moment I think they forgot what video games were. They took the canoe out and did a really good job paddling. Ben found a bobber that was floating in the water. He picked it up and attatched was a fish. The look of surprise on his face was priceless. Here are some pictures from the lake.

Cody had it easy. The other boys had to paddle. He was just along for the ride.

Nana, Papa and their friend Dean. Dean brought his paddle boat for the boys to use on the second day. I have never seen my kids so excited. Last year they were affraid to go in the water. This year you can't stop them.

The boys squirting us with water guns. We started throwing back water balloons and got the hose.

My dad decided to challenge the boys to a water fight. He got in the canoe and started splashing them. Well, My dad ended up in the water fully dressed with his hearing aids and everything. It was the highlight of our weekend. They had so much fun.

Please never mind the hysterical laughter. It is me and my mom watching as my dad went in the water. Priceless. I am glad I had the camera going.

The Hillsboro Water Fountain

After we got back to Hillsboro, I decided to take the boys to the water fountain before taking Ben home. It was so nice and there were not a lot of people there. They seemed to enjoy themselves

All in all we had the most fantastic weekend full of water fun, barbecues, friends and family.
