Week 4

Week 4 is off to a good start. I am down another 4 pounds for a grand total of 21 pounds. I am at 307. My goal for next week is to be down under 300 pounds. I know it might take more than one week but I am gonna exercise my ass off. Lisa, my sister in law, gave me a couple of aerobic exercise tapes to use on the days I can't go to the gym. I went very little last week because I have chest cold. You all know I like breathing and with asthma and a cold, it doesn't mix. I can feel my clothes are looser and I now have to tie the front of my work pants so they don't fall down when a kid pulls on them. That could be embarrasing. I have been making fresh juice shakes with my juicer. My favorite is Apple, pineapple, spinach, cucumber, lime and celery. Believe it or not, Cody asked for one for a snack. I would make him one with every meal if he wanted. Very healthy and tasty. Good way to get some vitamins. Anywho... Alls well here on my end. Off to make some dinner.

Week 3

So week 3 has been a little slow. I am down to 311. My goal by the end of next week is to be under 300, somewhere I have not been for quite some time. I haven't been exercising as much due to a cold in my chest and many appointments. One being getting my internet back, woo hoo! No excuses. I will be back kicking some ass by the end of this week. I feel so energized and I am starting to feel proud of myself. My pants are loose and I don't have to struggle to zip them up. I think 17 lbs is pretty good for 3 weeks. I do have before pictures, which I am having a hard time posting, not because I don't know how, but because I am ashamed of them. i can't wait until I can start taking some after pictures. I know the time will come, I just wish it would come right now. My friend Natalie keeps reminding me that it took me years to put the weight on so don't be so impatient on getting it off. Thanks Nat. My friend Windy made a beautiful video of my boys for me to have. I have to admit it is hard watching it due to my very large ass taking up the whole screen. Some day I will feel comfortable in my own skin. Some day I will allow myself to have chocolate, but right now if I tasted it I would gain all of my weight back. I guess chocolate is my addiction. One of the thoughts that I have in my head at all times is a comment I got from my cousin Sean. Sean had gastric bypass 5 years ago and looks fantastic. He said to me, " I am so proud of you for doing something I wasn't able to do without surgery. Keep it up." He doesn't know it, but those words inspire me each and every day. He has been thru alot and I love him so much. Well off to tuck the kidlets into bed.

Our New Friend Andy

Patrick and Paige have a friend named Andy. They watch him when his parents go out of town. He has Cerebral Palsy. They invited us to spend the day with them. We hung out and played games and went and saw the movie "Bolt" and then ate at McDonalds. We had a fun day. Thanks for inviting us.
Andy with his cool shirt.

Week 1

Here it is. My weightloss for the first week was 10.2 whole pounds. Yes I said 10 POUNDS. I am thrilled and amazed. That is such a boost for my morale. I am in the mind set that junk food makes me sick and I refuse to eat it. I have cut all of my salt out, all of my dairy and most of my fat. I feel so good and motivated. Exercise doesn't even bother me now. I love playing the Wii with my boys and challenging them to competitions. Look out world. I AM ON A ROLL!

Weightloss Competition

So, I just wanted to let everyone who reads this to know what I am up to. I have joined a competition with some of my friends. We each contribute $40 at the begining and by april 6th whomever looses the most percentage of body fat wins all of the money that everyone pitched in. This is a lot of incentive for me. You all know how I procrastinate and put off exercising. We started on January 9th. I have cut out all of my salt, fat and oils. I eat 6 times a day and have eaten so many vegetables that I feel like a garden. That being said, I am so excited. I am finally READY to start living my life like I should. I am going to loose this weight that keeps me from playing with my kids. I will never forget the day that Cody said to me " Momma, get out of the bouncy house. It might pop." He had no idea how much that hurt. I didn't get angry, I got out and wandered out to cry and wallow in self pity for a while. Damn! I want to bounce in the bouncy house and I want to go on the amusement rides when I take my kids to disneyland in a couple of years. I want to live long enough to "Be a burden to my kids" as my mother so lovingly puts it. Mom, if you and dad can quit smoking, I CAN LOSE THIS WEIGHT!
So everyone wish me well and keep me in your prayers. Just know that I am exercising everyday whether it is playing sports on the Wii, walking on the treadmill or going for a walk on my lunch break.
Here is the most embarassing part. My starting weight. I am listing it so that I will be held accountable for loosing it. It is the heaviest that I have been and vow to never be like this again. I want to buy pretty clothes and feel like a woman again. Well, here goes. 328.6. Please don't gasp just keep me in your prayers.
